Twitter celebrating its 7th birthday today, 21/3/2013. It was created in March 2006 by Jack Dorsey and July, in San Francisco. It is a micro-blogging service that enables its users to send and read text-based messages of up to 140 characters, known as “Tweets”.

The service is available in around 20 languages. It has over 500 million registered users as of 2012, generating over 340 million tweets/day and handling over 1.6 billion search queries per day. It is one of the 10 most visited websites on the Internet.
Amazing is that , this great success has been achieved in a very short period and playing pivotal role in so many people’s work , business. Interestingly, it is achieved by just clicking a button “JUST FOLLOWED” ;).
