What is Android
Android is a Linux-based, Google proprietary, Mobile operating system. It was developed as advanced of JAVA. Today, many mobile manufacturers like including Motorola, HTC and Sony Ericsson using it because it is an open source and Google releases the code under the Apache License. It was designed for touchscreen mobile devices and tablets. Google bought the service in 2005. The first Android-powered phone was sold in October 2008.
