Lord's and Sachin History
Sachin Tendulkar has already appeared at Lord’s in such a
fixture, having captained the Rest of the World side – scoring a
majestic century in the process – in the Diana Princess of Wales
Memorial Match in 1998. So, it will be a second instance Sachin leading team other than India, on Lord's ground.
Tendulkar said : "It is an honour to be asked to captain MCC in
such a prestigious fixture, and I am delighted to accept. Lord’s is such
a special place to play cricket and I am very much looking forward to
help celebrate its bicentenary by taking part in this match. I was delighted to be presented with an MCC Honorary Life
Membership in 2010, and it will be a privilege to play at the Home of
Cricket once again."
Warne said : "I
always enjoy playing at Lord’s and as an Honorary Life Member of MCC
I’m really excited about coming back. I’m sure the match will be a lot
of fun and it will be a pleasure to be part of the bicentenary
celebrations of the most famous cricket ground in the world."

July 6,2014 - It was a great match yesterday. We have some glimpses from it. The spectators witnessed use of GoPro camera on Gilchrist's helmet for first time in cricket history. Here's the Video :
Adam Gilchrist, batting for Rest of the World XI (ROW) at Lord’s on Saturday, had a GoPro camera on his helmet which got the attention of all the viewers. On the occasion of 200th anniversary of Lord’s cricket ground, MCC played ROW for a 50-over match, which featured many greats of yesteryears like Sachin Tendulkar, Shane Warne, Muttiah Muralitharan, Brian Lara, Rahul Dravid, Adam Gilchrist and Virender Sehwag, along with current international cricketers like Yuvraj Singh, Aaron Finch, Shahid Afridi and Tino Best.
Gilchrist, coming out to bat for ROW in the first innings, wore a GoPro camera on his helmet. His reactions after hitting a shot and the response time needed to hit the ball from someone like Shaun Tait, who was not bowling at his full capacity, but was still quick enough to hurry the batsmen, are captured in this video. Here’s the view from the cam:
Here is the video of Full Highlights MCC vs ROW :
