Q 1. Finished Files are the result of years of scientific study combined with the experience of years. How many 'F' are present in the sentence ?
A. There are six 'F' in this sentence. Are you astonished? Read the sentence again and this time, count them on your fingers carefully.
Q 2. In a hotel, a man was sleeping when he heard a knock on the door. He shifted the blanket and stepped down from the bed. He waked to the door and opened it to find a stranger standing outside. Upon opening the gate, that stranger said, "Pardon me, I must have made a mistake. I thought this was my room." The stranger then walked the corridor and climbed down the stairs. The man closed the door and immediately called the security. He asked them to arrest that stranger immediately. Why did he asked them to arrest that stranger? What made him suspicious?
A. The stranger said that he thought the room was his. If so, he must have had the keys to the room and thus he must not have knocked.
Q 3. Two world's famous prisoners 'Colditz' and 'Pascal' are locked in a cell. They plan to escape from the cell. They noticed there is an open window at 40 feet above the ground level. Both of them tried very hard but are never able to reach there. Then both of them decided to plan to escape by a tunnel and they start digging out. After digging for just 5 days, Colditz and Pascal comes out with the much more easier plan than tunneling and they escaped. what was the plan ?
A. They use the bricks and dirt from the tunnel to stand on it.
Q 4. Using eight eights and addition only, can you make 1000 ? 
A. 888 + 88 + 8 + 8 + 8 = 1000.
Q 5. Removing one from eleven makes it ten and removing one from nine makes it ten. Is it even possible?
A. Yes it is possible in Roman Numerals. In Roman Numerals,
9 = IX
10 = X
11 = XI

Thus by removing one from 9, you are getting 10 and by removing one from 11, you are getting 10 again.
Q 6. Find smallest number that you can write using all the vowels(A,E,O,I,U) exactly once ?
A. fIvE thOUsAnd (5000)
Q 7. Stephen died of heart attack. His soul was received in heaven. He was astonished to find himself as young as he had been in his young adult age. A: Pages 19, 20, 23, 37, 38, & 42 will also be missing.
Q 9. A petri dish kept in a lab has a colony of healthy bacteria. Every bacterium divides itself into two in exactly two minutes. Now the colony started with a single cell at 2 pm. If the petri dish was exactly half full of bacteria at 3 pm, when will the dish become full of bacteria?
A: Since every bacterium divides into two in two minutes and we know the fact that the dish was half filled with bacteria at 3 pm, after exactly 2 minutes, all will divide into two and will fill the petri dish. Thus, the petri dish will become full at 3:02 pm.
Q 10. A terrorist hijacks a plane with 10 passengers and there is lots of gold in the plane. After talking the gold , he asked the government officials for 11 parachutes. He killed all the passenger so that no one can identify him , take one parachute and jumps off. Was he stupid to ask for 11 parachutes if he need only one ?
A. He was genius. Officials must have thought he was jumping with a hostage, they would never risk giving him a faulty parachute.


Q 11. Two companions Terry and Garry were talking about their families. Terry told some great stories about his courageous grandfather who fought for Britain in "World War I". Terry told that his grandfather is so brave that he was awarded a bravery honour medal with words "For our Courageous Soldiers In World War I" embedded into it. Garry Knows that his friend is lying ? How ?
A. "World War I" was named so after "World War II"
Q 12. You have to place all the digits from 1 to 9 without repeating any number in a tic tac toe board. The condition is that the numbers should add up to 15 whether you add the numbers in each row, column or diagonally. Can you do it?

A. 16-days. In 15-days, he will climb 15-inch and when he climbs 5 inch more, he will be out of the well.
Q 14. You are given four different jars of 2 liters, 4 liters, 6 liters and 8 liters respectively with an unlimited water supply. Then you are asked to measure exactly 5 liters of water using them. How will you do it?
A. If we have to measure precisely, it is impossible. Because we are asked to measure odd number of liters whereas all the jars we have can contain only even liters of water.
Q 15. Aliya Bhatt socks rack has 11 pink socks, 12 red socks , 13 orange socks, and 14 white socks,15 brown socks. How many socks would she have to pull out in the dark to be sure she got a matching pair ?
A. Six. There are only five colors, so six socks guarantee that two will be the same color.

Q 18. Six identical glasses are in a row. The first three glasses are filled with juice, and the last three glasses are empty. By moving only one glass, can you arrange them so that the full and the empty glasses are alternate?
A: Move and then pour all juice from second glass to fifth glass.
Q 19. The father of a driver's son is sitting with the son of the driver without the driver actually being in the car. What sorcery is this?
A: The driver is actually the wife and mother.
Q 20. Peeta asks Katniss, 'It is 9 pm as per my watch right now.Do you know what will be the time 23, 999, 997 hours later?' Katniss knows the answer. Do you ?
A. 6pm. As the time after 24, 000, 000 hours will be the same as it is now. We want the time 3 hours before that and thus you can deduct three hours from 9 pm. So the time will be 6 pm.

A. No it does not collapse. Because it has driven a half mile – you would subtract the diesel used from the total weight of the truck.

A. A pound of cotton is heavier than a pound of gold because cotton is weighted by the avoirdupois pound, which consists of 16 ounces, whereas gold, being a precious metal is weighted by the troy pound which consists 12 ounces.
