BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) is a proprietary Internet-based instant messenger and video-telephony application included on BlackBerry devices that allows messaging (and videocalls for BlackBerry 10 smartphones) between BB users. Blackberry launches BBM on iOS 6 and Android platforms. It is very good move if they intends to eventually be a software and services company only.- 1. It is revealed at BB Live event held in Florida on may 14, 2013 that there are 1,20,000 applications today on BlackBerry World.
- 2. High-end Security features of BBM are better than any other IM providers. Like on WhatsApp, the new owner of the number can easily access your contacts. It is a significant privacy infringement. User need to block somebody manually if he.she do not intend to receive messages from that contact whereas BBM never discloses any unnecessary information, such as the last time and date when you appeared online.
